Industrial Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship Training

The Industrial Manufacturing Technician Registered Apprenticeship (IMT RA) is an apprenticeship that includes two training components on-the-job learning and related instruction which total 3,000 hours. Of the 3,000 hours, related instruction is a minimum of 264 hours. Additional time may be spent in related instruction for those needing support with a particular element of the IMT RA. The number of hours per week will vary by employer and production demand. The IMT RA training is used to train people in a variety of occupations such as machine operator, assembler, inspector, production worker and other related production occupations. The training can be applied to various types of manufacturing companies ranging from food processing or metal fabrication to plastics or bio-medical production.
